Quick background, I've got a new Dell Inspirion laptop and use the touchpad mouse exclusively.

Sometimes when I move my cursor around it causes the program (IE, Works, whatever) to zoom. Also, often when I'm typing in Works it does weird formatting things, like indenting or bolding/italicizing without me pressing control, and sometimes CTRL+(whatever) doesn't work, especially for copy, paste, and undo.

Anyone else have these problems, or know how I can resolve them?

Update about my computer woes
Well, as anyone saw from my last post: my computer has issues. The particular issues from my last post have been resolved, but I face a greater challenge now it seems.. Getting my computer to function longer than an hour or so at at a time. (I've given up on my tablet btw) this problem is worse when I am trying to play sims, but regardless it is still a problem for when I am doing anything. Basically when I am on my computer for extended periods of time (not really.. sometimes and hour or just 30 min) it will periodically crash on me... I don't know why.. it does say that there's a problem with my hard drive, but it never says how to fix it.... oh and another thing.. after one of these little shutting down rants that my computer had one day (bc if it shuts down it is very likely that it will also shut down while trying to repair its self) my games that came with my computer like spider solitaire and those games no longer work... the icons are still there but they won't work.. Sims on the otherhand and a couple of other games I put on my computer myself still work... though Sims skips a little.... but idk... I'm going to get it to some tech service eventually... hopefully before the warranty runs out....

lame cd driver
ok so I first turned on my brand new toshiba windows vista laptop on christmas day... I installed everything everything went smoothly.. So after awhile I had problems with the computer shutting down unexpectedly. as far as I know I have fixed that after a little googling. then another problem pops up: My sims game, which is already installed into my computer and was working fine, no longer works, or any other disk I put in the driver for that matter. For some reason my computer has decided that it doesn't want to recognize that I have put a cd in to play.

I have autoplay on, my memory is not even halfway full, I did have an analysis done and it says that my hard drive is messed up, but it hasn't really caused me any problems, I've installed the latest stuff for windows vista that I can find on the microsoft website, and I am beginning to think that maybe I should just go to Windows XP, because that is the kind my family has for our desktop.

please help me so that I can reunite with my sims and continue fixing the other problem I have between my laptop and my wacom tablet.

thank you very much!!
